Cut the grooves for invisible fasteners on a whole run of shelf uprights. Clamped the bracket, ran the trim router, and every slot landed at the same depth and offset. Freehand would have taken me twice as long and looked half as good.

Official Store2-in-1 Invisible Fastener Slotting Bracket

Cut the grooves for invisible fasteners on a whole run of shelf uprights. Clamped the bracket, ran the trim router, and every slot landed at the same depth and offset. Freehand would have taken me twice as long and looked half as good.
1 week agoThe clear base is what makes it. I can watch the bit meet the layout line instead of guessing where it is under an opaque plate. Placement got noticeably more accurate.
2 weeks agoSkipped the base since I already have a router table setup and just wanted the slotting head. Works fine, though if you are starting from nothing get the version with the base — you will want it.
2 weeks agoUsed it for concealed hinge mortises on a cabinet run. The adjustable guides let me set the hinge position once and repeat it across eight doors without re-measuring.
3 weeks agoBreaks down in about thirty seconds and lies flat in the bag. I work out of a van and shop space is not something I have, so that matters more than it sounds.
3 weeks agoCheck your router fits before you order and you will have no trouble. Mine mounted straight on and the jig has been rock solid since — no flex in the body, no slop in the guides.
4 weeks agoDados on 36mm stock came out clean and square. It is right at the edge of the 39mm clamping range and it still held without any flex or chatter.
5 weeks agoAluminium body, not cast plastic pretending to be metal. Six weeks of shop use and the guides still slide smooth without any slop developing.
6 weeks agoThe guide rails work but they are the weak point. Extended across a 500mm panel and I got a visible bow in the middle of the cut — maybe half a millimetre, enough that the fastener slot did not seat evenly. Fine on short stock, I would not trust it on anything wide without a support underneath.
7 weeks agoRouter is not included, which the listing states clearly and I still managed to be surprised by. Once mine was mounted it cut every slot at the same depth across a full cabinet run.
8 weeks agoSlotted a run of floating shelf cleats and every fastener seated the same. That repeatability is the whole reason to own a jig instead of freehanding it.
9 weeks agoSetup takes under a minute and it holds where I put it. No creeping mid-cut, which is what killed the shop-made jig I was using before.
10 weeks agoMounted my trim router first try and cut clean dados in oak with no burning or chatter. The clamp keeps the stock dead still.
11 weeks agoNo complaint about the jig, it cuts clean and holds position. The problem was the shipping. Twenty-two days from order to doorstep, and it arrived in a bubble mailer with the aluminium head poking through a tear in the side. Nothing was lost and nothing was bent, but that was luck rather than packaging. A rigid tool needs a box.
5 weeks agoGrooved a set of oak shelf standards for invisible fasteners. Every slot the same depth, every one hidden once the shelf went on. Nobody will ever see the joint, which is exactly the point.
4 weeks agoI rout on a table already so I only needed the head. Bolted straight onto my trim router and the guides run without any wobble.
6 weeks agoSet the hinge position once and cut fourteen mortises across a kitchen run. Not one needed adjusting when the doors went on.
8 weeks agoWatching the bit through the clear base sounds like a small thing until you have cut a mortise blind and put it 2mm off. I do not go back.
12 weeks agoComes apart in about half a minute and lies flat under the seat of the van. I have shop tools I cannot take anywhere and this one goes to every job.
13 weeks agoClamped 38mm stock right at the top of its range and got no chatter and no flex. Rated to 39mm and it holds at 38 without complaint.
