Cabinet Door Mounting Jig

The jig holds the door in place while you set the gap, so you are not balancing it on your knee. Dial the reveal to 0.1 mm, drill, hang, move to the next door.

Hung in three steps

  1. Set the jig

Place it under the top hinge position and tighten the knobs to grip the door.

  2. Dial the gap

Use the micro-adjust knobs to set the top and side reveal. Check both corners.

  3. Drill and hang

Bore the hinge holes through the drill guide, then fit the hinges and hang the door.

Why the gaps come out even

  • Knobs move the door in 0.1 mm steps, so top matches bottom without shims.
  • One frame takes doors from 7 to 40 mm thick, frameless or face-frame.
  • Rubber pads grip without scratching a finished door.
  • Adjustment range of 0 to 2.36 in covers tight modern gaps and wide reveals.

Finally built a run of face-frame cabinets where the doors hang straight. No shims, no re-hanging. This thing is a lifesaver on a quick job.

The rubber pads are the detail I didn't know I needed — zero scratches on the finish. Micro-adjustment means my gap is the same on all four edges.

Works on frameless and face-frame. I own a couple of brands that do one or the other — this one tool covers both shops.

Solid aluminium, light enough to carry one-handed. Only thing is learning the adjustment knobs takes a job or two, but then it's automatic.

DIY cabinet reface. Hung 8 cabinet doors solo and they all lined up flush. Saved me a call to a cabinet guy.

The drill hole guide is spot-on for hinge boring. Takes the guesswork out of where to start the bit.

Frameless cabinetry in a modern kitchen. This jig lets you dial in gaps tighter than anything I've done by hand.

Good tool, solid feel. Takes a bit of care to set the first time — once you know the system, it's fast.
