Installed six interior doors on my own this weekend. Clamp the lifter on, roll the door into the opening, crank it up to the reveal I wanted, then drove the hinge screws. What used to be a two-person job took me about twenty minutes a door.
2 weeks agoFinish carpenter, 14 years. I stopped stacking shims the day this showed up. The stepless adjustment holds the door exactly where I set it while I shoot the hinges.
3 weeks agoBought the 2-pack so I could stage two doors at once on a remodel. One door hanging while the next is already clamped and waiting. Worth the extra for a whole-house job.
4 weeks agoWorks exactly as shown and the pads did not mark my prefinished slabs. Wish the wheels were a little larger for crossing a threshold, but on flat subfloor it is perfect.
5 weeks agoMy husband and I always ended up arguing over door hanging. Now one person does it. Used it on a heavy solid-core exterior door and it held steady the whole time.
2 weeks agoAlso use it for cabinet panels and sheet goods. Anything awkward and heavy, I clamp it in and roll it where I need it instead of dragging a helper over.
6 weeks agoThe stepless height adjustment is the real feature. I dial the gap at the top of the door to a hair, lock the wheels, and it does not sag while I set the second hinge.
3 weeks agoSolid steel and the finish is holding up in the truck. Took me one door to learn the right clamp pressure, after that it was quick every time.
